existential type test
hello my name is Lysa. Never going give you up never going to let you down. Never going to turn around and dessert you? I don’t know the rest of the song only the chorus lyrics and i don’t even know that well and also i don’t know how to spell words correctly thanks to autocorrect making me not having to memorise correct spelling or grammar. I just realised i spelt “gonna” once and used going the rest of the verse so i changed it now for consistency and now I'm thinking up new words to type to test how well i can type … technological advancements make it more difficult for me to learn AND retain information in my mind/notepad because i can simply “save for later” and rewatch/re-read again… and if i get curious i can use google or bing or youtube to learn but i don’t feel like I've really learned anything because i haven’t actually done that very thing myself, I'm just waiting for my time to shine, and i worry when exactly my time to shine is and who’s calling me out there for a challenge fit for Lysa [MIDDLE NAME REACTED] Ali… and until then I'm just looking up trivial facts for the sake of “learning something new” and by that i mean I'm “learning for the sake of learning” and not “learning for a specific job that i want or need to do…”
i cannot believe i did a type test after a existential thought about keyboards and technological advancements from a mini video. the internet has indeed ruined me and i wish i could either disconnect more, or find healthy solutions that make me feel empowered again.
for the record: i type APPARENTLY like a T-Rex but that's only because I get OCD about spelling.
IDAFF about grammar about capital letter any more, and YES I've seen that "uncle Jack" meme which is why i use capital letter for nouns, pronouns and acronyms AND FOR EMPHASIS. because i figured out how i talk from writing these blogs and realised that context is more important than The Rules.
i haven't CHOSEN to use Times New Roman for a long time. I've been using Calibri because it's the new default, but Arial is decent too, maybe even better if you like BIGGER characters. before Calibri I've been using Arial Rounded Bold because again: BIG LETTERS and BOLDNESS and also because people hate Comic sans and this kinda felt like a loophole. IDK who uses Helvetica. Hipsters, maybe? they like to stand out from the crowd with like-minded people, but that only forms another type of crowd. so why not "chamelonise" yourself and walk in and out crowds as you like?
oh wait, some people have attachment issues and don't like it when people act like they have their own life and want to experience new things and meet new people.
the first font i genuinely like was Microsoft Sans. again: it was BIG. it was BOLD and it felt like a loophole to not using Times New Roman for class, but since everybody used Comic Sans to match the teacher, and I didn't want to be a sheep, found other fonts that were simple because that's just who I am: not a sheep, but also not too different to sheep because I was too raised in a flock. examples include goats, llamas, alpacas (except not really because I'm short) cats, dogs and foxes behave similarly and I just vibe with their thoughts. small rodents too, just not insects because they die too quickly... and not just because we squish them.

I'll explain:
in Europe, we mainly drive on 2-way single roads. that means 1 car each side going back and forth on the road. and when we want to travel LARGE distances we have double, triple and in some cases (except-until-recently-with-whatever-the-hell "digital roads" are 4 lane roads.
while in America (according to Anton T. Santucci explaining circuit buses with highway-metaphors)
normal roads have 2 lanes on both sides and highways are 2 lanes total.
not comparing at which layout/system is better. our nations do what's best for its people in the long term
(or try/say they do...) just wanted to share the thought.

π€ My Hands ✋
LAST YEAR I got curious about the size of my hands/fingers to check which finger really is the Big, Medium and small fingers.
I even measured my other hand if it follows the same size pattern.
to my suprise, the fingers on my left hand were *a little bit* LARGER than the finger on ny right hand. strange but not W¡Ld.
I can live with these results just fine.
or so I thought...
recently I've been reflecting on human behaviour v natural instincts
like how I've been taught to use my right side more often than my left.
HOWEVER, I feel like more of my left stuff are dominant?
like my left eye appears to be more accurate in positioning,
and when I go to check my dominant foot, there's a 50/50 split with my leg dominance. or maybe I need better tests...
back to hands: I've been taugt to use my right hand for most life stuff, but why do I react faster with my left? or why do I find it easy writing with my left hand? I mean, I do like acting in opposite manners, but why is my left so easy?
what would life be like if I was taught to use either side I wanted as long as end justified the means???
what is life trying to tell me?

SIMPSONS DID IT!
many years ago, idk when and I don't plan to look up when this episode was written. The writers of The Simpsons wrote a mild-at-best joke.
now I like the Simpsons.I have liked the Simpsons for a long time.
many people seem to inly like the first 4 seasons and then drop the show, but I like the show until the 20s. (haha)
the current seasons aren't much better, but the writers have become aware of how we the audience feel of the show and imbed that into their modern episodes. which again is hit or miss... but I'm not here to rant about modern Simpsons.
I'm here to rant about THIS JOKE. it may not be a very good joke, but it's simple and memorable and quotable. and this memorability may have got the attention of British writer Malorie Blackman or a bunch of people currently working with the BBC.
this is NOT a witty joke. writers can write much better than this, then again... I don't suppose it's healthy for people to have lazer focus in their work at all times when they also have to, you know, do the rest of their work.
what is surprising to me, is just seeing people perhaps subconsciously taking inspiration from the Simpsons or coincidentally having similar ideas for a story. I mean, at least these new people have a story mountain/timeline whereas the Simpsons writers needed a quick joke to transition into the current story that in the grand scheme of the episode/series/things doesn't even matter.
moral of this post:
sometimes we get so hyper-focused on one thing, we lose sight of the bigger picture.
also, the creative industry is full of co-incidents. π
also, the Simpsons have proven yet again if their relevance in today's world. (and in a way, so did South Park. because this is *their* phrase)

measuring temperature π₯π‘️❄️
i'm writing this blog now, as reflection after seeing a video by Answer in Progress (swish)
normally when i check the weather forecast. (which isn't often)
but when i do, i usually only look at the top number because... laziness ¯\_(γ)_/¯
after all, why should i look at all the information when i can use previous knowledge of how hot/cold the displayed temperature will be. the REAL QUESTION is:
but this video that i'm pondering over, made me realize how easy we take life in some areas. i mean we can't put 100% in everything we do all the time, that leads to burnout.
when Sabrina was going over the factors affecting the weather forecast (displayed just below the forecast info. very easy to find and read) i realized that it takes more than just heat/solar intensity to foretell weather updates.
and that's why i'm writing this very blog now. to tell you people how incompetent i am at times.
